Get you a partner and win a slot in Vegas! Scotch Doubles teams are made up of 2 players who alternate shots at the table. This format is locally known as Shape Partners. Teams play to win plaques, a slot in the APA National Doubles Championship in Las Vegas, and cash money for travel assistance. SCOTCH DOUBLES DIVISION RULES
(3 SES
SION FORMAT)
-  Must have at least 8 teams to start a division.
-  Doubles Fees will be $20.00 per team per match. 2 matches will be played on each scheduled day.
-  Teams can be made up of any combination of male/female players.
-  All players must be on a regular active team in the chosen format. (8-Ball Open or 9-Ball Open)
-  All players must have at least 20 lifetime matches in the chosen format to participate.
-  Maximum total points per team is 10 points. Once the session starts, total team points may increase but cannot exceed 12 points with out replacing one or both players to reduce the team skill level back down to 10 points.
-  Players will alternate shots. Break goes to the other player that doesn't shoot the last ball.
-  Match races will be determined by the below Doubles Match Win Charts.

One coach (Time-Out) per team per game will be allowed.
-  Players may only participate on one team in a specific format.
-  Guest players are allowed to substitute but they must be on an active team in that format with at least 20 lifetime scores and must be the same skill level, or below, as the player for who they are substituting for.
-  Both Doubles team members must play at least 8 matches in the Doubles format to qualify for Playoffs and Local Team Championship (LTC).
-  Players must have at least 20 lifetime scores in that format by the end of June to be eligible for a 8-Ball or 9-Ball Vegas Championship slot. Doubles matches do not count toward lifetime matches.
Points leaders at the end of the session will be Division Champions and awarded a special plaque for each member. Division Champions also earn a slot in our Scotch Doubles Local Team Championship (LTC).
-  Our Scotch Doubles (LTC) will be Single-Elimination and held on the Sunday of our regular 9-Ball Local Team Championship.
-  Division Playoffs will take place on one day. Playoff start time and amount of teams in Playoffs will be determined by the amount of teams in each division.
Playoff schedules for all regular 3 Session Scotch Double divisions (8-Ball & 9-Ball):
   - 8-10 Teams (including Byes)
     Division Champion & 2 Playoff Winners advance to our Scotch Doubles LTC - (3 Teams)
     Playoffs: 2nd vs WC / 3rd vs 4th
   - 11-13 Teams (including Byes)
     Division Champion & 3 Playoff Winners advance to our Scotch Doubles LTC - (4 Teams)
     Playoffs: 2nd vs WC / 3rd vs 6th / 4th vs 5th
   - 14-16 Teams (including Byes)
     Division Champion & 4 Playoff Winners advance to our Scotch Doubles LTC - (5 Teams)
     Playoffs: 2nd vs WC / 3rd vs WC / 4th vs 7th / 5th vs 6th
 
THE ABOVE PLAYOFF SCHEDULES WILL VARY FOR
ALL DIVISIONS WHICH ONLY PLAY IN THE SPRING SESSION.
 
 
Due to all matches being Scotch Doubles, no patches for individual play will be awarded.
-  Travel Assistance monies won by the winning team in our LTC will be paid out by the end of July before that APA national event. Teams that are paid monies for travel assistance, but fail to attend and participate in that APA Doubles Championship in Vegas, must return the money to our league immediately to avoid suspension and/or legal prosecution.
